About this teacher

Brian Anderson, photographer, adventurer & educator, has captured nature, travel and landscape images from trips to 60+ countries and territories, N to S; from the Geographical North Pole to Antarctica, and E to W; from Japan to Easter Island.

Through andersonimages, Brian presents Illustrated Talks, Courses and Workshops based around these trips, so others can also 'explore, experience and discover' the remarkable places, wildlife and people he has been so fortunate to visit and encounter over the last 30+ years. He has been presenting talks to primary & secondary schools, FE colleges, Universities, RSPB Local Groups, community/social groups and professional clubs for over 15 years. During the Covid restrictions, Brian has been presenting talks online via Zoom.

Brian has also worked with Quark Expeditions, as Ship's Photographer and Lecturer on their Arctic and Antarctic voyages. His images and articles have appeared on international websites, in local newspapers, photographic and various lifestyle magazines, including Amateur Photographer and Cheshire Life.

Brian lectures on Wilderness, Wildlife & Environmental issues and runs Photography workshops courses at Adult Colleges in Cumbria, Wirral, Cheshire, Somerset, Wiltshire and Northants, plus on the odd cruise ship. He is also a lecturer and tutor at Marlborough College Summer School.

He has been running courses and workshops for over 15 years and has helped hundreds of adults of all ages to improve their creative and technical photography skills. His sessions combine  group learning followed by everyone 'practising the theory' together. Brian's sessions are inspiring and lots of fun.
