Course synopsis
Welcome to my introduction to creative printing course. Over the term we shall explore traditional printing techniques, using a variety of easily accessible materials and tools which you can recreate at home.
This will include monoprinting using glass plates to create hand drawn one-time prints. Also collograph printing, where we create textured surfaces using card, fabric and other found materials to collage and make prints from. We will also try a simple form of intaglio using recycled drinks cartons. Finally we will explore linocut printing using specialist cutting tools to create eycatching artworks.
