Course synopsis

Looking at Italian art and history from pre-Roman times until the present day might sound a daunting task, so rich is the evidence at our disposal. But this does not have to be the case! This course will be a pleasant and fascinating journey roughly divided into three sections (one per term): from antiquity to the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and Baroque, from Neoclassicism to the contemporary period. Art, archaeology, architecture and history will effortlessly blend to give a taste of a cultural heritage that has few rivals. Come and see for yourself! No previous knowledge or experience of the subject is required.
