Information

Come along and learn the art of enamelling in our superb, well equipped and friendly workshop lead by Hannah with many decades of jewellery making experience and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Guild of Enamellers.

Beginners are welcomed to this enamelling day with Hannah in Wilmslow, Cheshire.  It is the perfect opportunity to see if a new hobby is for you. Come alone (it’s a little daunting stepping out of your comfort zone but after a few moments and a welcome coffee you will soon feel at home) or bring a friend or relative to have a creative day together.

Enamelling is the art of adding ground colourful glass powder onto your work and firing in a small kiln to melt into place creating endless design opportunities. You could enamel pieces of jewellery, Christmas decorations or a copper bowl. Hannah will demonstrate basic sifting following onto stencilling, sgraffito and more if the day allows.

You don’t have to be crafty as we have templates, tools and vision aids to make life easier for less nimble fingers.  Materials and consumables to suit all budgets are available to purchase in class or you can bring your own.  There will be a small charge to Hannah for enamels used on the day.

What to wear & bring:  Mug with a closed lid, closed toes shoes, hair tied back, apron, notebook, fine sharpie, pen, medical style facemask.

We can accommodate 14 years upwards however please send a WhatsApp to Hannah 07855 371548 to discuss before booking to make sure the class is suitable.
