All CategoriesArchaeology, History & History of Art

Course synopsis

This course will be a list of works, chosen by myself, of work made thousands of years ago, through the Renaissance, Baroque and Modern eras and up to the 21st century. Some are very well known and celebrated, others are more obscure but deserve attention. Among the artists discussed will be Hieronymus Bosch, Albrecht Durer, Artemesia Gentileschi, Pablo Picasso and Cindy Sherman. We will look at the works in detail and the context in which they were made.
