Information

Welcome to the streets of 18th-century Seville! We are thrilled to invite you to an immersive exploration of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don Giovanni—a masterpiece of seduction, supernatural justice, and the ultimate "bad boy" of opera.

Whether you are an opera aficionado or a total newcomer, this event is designed to pull back the velvet curtain and let you step into the drama yourself.

What’s Included in the Session

Join Guido for a dynamic journey through Mozart’s Don Giovanni, featuring:

  • Style & Era: An introduction to the Classical period and the Dramma Giocoso style—a brilliant, precarious balance between laugh-out-loud comedy and dark tragedy.

  • Opera History: A look at the fascinating journey from the legendary tales of Don Juan to its triumphant 1787 premiere in Prague.

  • Plot Activities: Interactive role-plays and creative activities that bring the legendary characters—from the defiant Don to the bumbling Leporello—to life.

  • Curiosities: A deep dive into "behind-the-scenes" secrets, including the famous legend that Mozart wrote the entire Overture the night before the first performance!

  • Language & Vision: Exploration of the lyrics and artistic vision behind the opera’s most famous highlights, such as the "Catalogue Aria" and the chilling finale.

Language Note: To ensure everyone is included, activities are available in English for non-Italian linguists.
