About this teacher
Evie Willems is a philosophy researcher and educator specialising in the philosophy of language, metaphysics and gender. She received her PhD in 2022 from the University of York, where she also taught undergraduate and adult courses for a number of years as a graduate tutor and associate lecturer. In her public-facing work, Evie has participated in the York Festival of Ideas and the Lincoln Philosophy Salon, and has taught philosophy in schools with the educational charity The Brilliant Club.
She has published academic articles on philosophy in the peer-reviewed journals Synthese and Disputatio, and has presented papers at several international conferences. She collects a fridge magnet from every city where she gives a presentation.
